🐾 The Scoop on Volunteering: How You Can Help Rescue Cats at The Chatty Cat Cafe

We get asked all the time: “How can I help the cats?” Well, here’s your chance to get the inside scoop—literally.

If you've ever dreamed of making a difference in the lives of rescue cats (or if cleaning litter boxes while surrounded by purring fluffballs sounds like your kind of self-care), we’d love to have you join the volunteer team!

What’s The Scoop on Volunteering?

We’re hosting two upcoming info sessions where you can learn all about volunteering with our rescue partners. These sessions are casual, fun, and full of helpful info—plus we’ll have cookies, flavored teas, and lemonades to sip while you learn.

Info Session Dates: 📅 Thursday, May 15th from 4:00–5:00 PM 📅 Sunday, May 18th from 11:00 AM–12:00 PM 📍 At The Chatty Cat Cafe (Colony Square Mall, Zanesville)

Note: This is not a cat lounge visit, but an info session designed to help you decide if volunteering is a good fit. (Though you will get a sneak peek behind the scenes of cat care magic!)

What Do Volunteers Do?

Volunteers help our rescue partners by caring for the cats being fostered at The Chatty Cat Cafe. That includes:

• Refilling food and water

• Scooping litter boxes

• Brushing, socializing new cats and kittens

• cleaning, cleaning, more cleaning (ha!)

• Giving pets, playtime, and TLC

You’ll be trained and supported—we just ask that you commit to a consistent shift each week so our feline friends get reliable care.

Who Can Volunteer?

🐾 Must be 18 or older🐾 Must commit to the same shift weekly (we currently need morning shifts: 9:00–11:30 AM) 🐾 Must love cats (and have a decent sense of humor—our cats are weird, in the best way)

Why It Matters

The Chatty Cat Cafe is more than a cute place to grab a latte. It's a safe space for rescue cats to relax, thrive, and find their forever homes. Every volunteer helps us keep that mission going.
