STEPS TO ADOPT

Step 1: Meet The Cats!
Visit the lounge and meet the cats in our care! We are extremely passionate about making sure it's a good puurrsonality fit for you and your family (We recommend making a reservation for at least an hour to meet all the adoptable cats!)

Step 2: Ask for an Application!
We foster several cats from different rescues and shelter partners. Ask the barista or volunteer for an application after your lounge visit so we can ensure you receive the correct application for the cat you are interested in adopting!

Step 3: Adoption Day!
The rescue receives your application from the cafe and can take up to a few days to fully process. In the event your application is approved, they will contact you to schedule a date and time to come back to the cafe! (Don't forget a carrier!) The adoption fee is not due until the adoption and we will be taking an adoption photo, so be camera ready!

Cats currently in our care
We believe all pets deserve a great home, which is why we teamed up with local rescue groups. The cafe provides a charming and relaxed environment for the adoptable cats to showcase their personality, and to just be cats! if you are looking for a new best friend, or if you cannot have a pet of your own and just want to pet some cats, we are here for you!
We are committed to the well being of every cat in our care, providing coffee and other drinks, food, apparel and more, to the idea that one day all animals get a loving home.

Adoption FAQs
At The Chatty Cat Café, our first priority is always the cats. Every adoption decision we make is based on what’s best for their health, happiness, and future—not on who applied first or fastest. We know applying can be exciting (and sometimes nerve-wracking!), so we’ve put together these FAQs to help explain how our process works. Clear, consistent policies ensure every cat gets the safe, loving home they deserve—and that you know exactly what to expect along the way.
✨ Our Adoption Promise ✨
Where do I get an application?
Applications are available at the cafe. Once you have visited the lounge and decided which cat or kitten you would like to apply for, ask the barista at the front counter for an application (Or one of our cat lounge volunteers!)
Are the cats spayed/neutered?
ABSOLUTELY! We are a cage-free foster home for adoptable rescue cats. All of our cats are spayed/neutered, FIV+FeLV combo tested negative, vaccinated up to age, and dewormed monthly.
How much is the adoption fee?
Adoption fees go to our rescue partners and are not due until the day your adoption is scheduled for. They do range between $80-$125 depending on the age and which rescue they are being fostered for.
If I apply first, does that mean I’ll automatically get approved or be selected?
No. We receive multiple applications daily. Adoptions are not approved on a first-come basis. Our priority is always finding the best fit for the cat(s).
How long does it take to hear back after I apply? Will I hear back in the event I am not approved?
Our rescue partners receive a high volume of applications and do not have enough volunteers to personally respond to every applicant. While they do their best to follow up, it is not always possible to contact each person. If you do not hear back within a week, it is likely that your application was not selected. Applications are kept on file for 30–60 days, and you are welcome to apply for a different cat using the same application if the cat you originally applied for has been adopted
What if my new cat has a medical issue after adoption?
All cats are examined, vetted, and treated as needed before adoption. You’ll receive their medical paperwork at pickup. Once adopted, all future medical concerns should be directed to your veterinarian, as we cannot provide post-adoption medical advice
Can I adopt just one cat out of a bonded pair?
No. Bonded pairs must be adopted together. Separating them is not in the cats’ best interest and will never be approved. If you apply for just one cat out of a bonded pair, your application will not move forward. If the cat you are applying for is part of a bonded pair it will be mentioned during the application process.
